Orbit Pulse Update

So, just like I said before, I’m going to make a few changes here. First off would be the content. I’m no longer hosting a MEME volcanic eruption of rubbish nonsense from around the internet (that seems to keep popping in every day, every hour!). I’m tired and sick of that personally. So now, it’s going to be much more of original content. Which means we may not be posting the latest breaking news all the time, but each posts would have a significant depth which can help you and which I’m surely going to have a great time composing!

With that, there’s a new tagline for Orbit Pulse which to me, goes best with our focus now:
Orbit Pulse – Your savior from MEME hell. Original Content Only™

Twitter Whale Visited Us

C’mon, who hasn’t seen the big twitter whale? Well, this month, we were visited by the behemoth (which some might succumb to calling cute). Unlike twitter, this wasn’t the case of a technical fault (and just incase you’re wondering, no hamsters were harmed to make this site run).

PS3 Slim, Is It For Real?

There are rumors that Sony will announce a “slim” version of their flagship gaming console, the PlayStation 3. An anonymous French retailer claims (in an interview with gaming site JVN.com) that these rumors are real and the PS3 will cost $100 lesser than the PS3. And apparently, its coming out on stores next month!

If all this is true, could this be the trump card in Sony’s hand to beat XBOX 360’s cheaper pricing strategy?

Update: The PS3 Slim has been confirmed. Head over here to read the details.

Startup HotGloo Aims To Make Visual Prototyping Easy

Hot Gloo

HotGloo is a startup that aims to simplify the prototyping phase in the design of a web-site. In their own words, “Hot Gloo is designed by IA’s for IA’s” (Information Architect, I’d presume). Having read that, I immediately recognized the need for improving wire-frames in an app’s development. Not much has been done in this space. With no standard “efficient” practices, we’ve got conflicting ideologies with the 37signal crowd preferring to skip this stage altogether and coding directly in HTML, albeit through several iterations.
